Lockdown has provided a much-needed pause that has caused a great deal of the student body to be creative and start their own initiatives or conceptualise their future start up plans. In fact, Companies House data by the Centre for Entrepreneurs (CFE) found a record-breaking 50.23% increase in startups in the Yorkshire Humber area this June! This is above the national average!
So do not waste any more time and DM us @startuphull or email Alice.Johnson@hull.ac.uk today to get started! Whether you are a fully-fledged entrepreneur or an inspired student that wants to learn more about turning their ideas into realities, we want to hear from you!
Our first Start Up Meet Up event will take place online on Wednesday 30th September at 3 pm. It will take a Q&A format with our guest speaker Connor De Lisle, the CEO of Midnight Munchies. Connor is University of Hull alumni and has taken great advantage of all the services we offer at Start Up Hull, and successfully used a university-funded grant to purchase his first retail outlet on Newland Avenue. This first event aims to inform students and alumni of the services we offer, inspire future entrepreneurs, and connect business owners within the student body.
